Movember: the month formally known as November

Did you know that Movember started in Melbourne, Australia, and is now a global event? It is not only changing the appearance of many men lately, but it has become a fun way to raise awareness and funds for prostate cancer research.

And yes, Movember is even happening at the library. Our very own Mark Coates, Learning Support Coordinator, is proudly sprouting a very suave soup-strainer in support of this cause. For more information on Movember and how you can donate or get involved, check out the official website: http://ca.movember.com

  1. Well Done Mark! As a mustache wearing guy for 39 years, I could not part mine, but I did dye mine mauve for a few days. When this month comes, remember your dads, eh?

  2. Glad to hear about others doing their part to support the prostate cancer initiatives (awareness, education, survivorship and research). My father didn’t have a mustache that I can remember. However, every Movember i will be reminded of him.

    Thank-you. :{p
